Great location for day hiking and enjoying the AT. Unfortunately its well known now, so unless you call ahead to reserve a site upwards of a month in advance you may have to wait out the morning for a site to become a available.
Overall enjoyed our weekend at the campground. It is a busy campground and camp sites are not secluded, but the sites were maintained, bathrooms were adequate and provides a store. I must comment on the staff as they were quite grumpy. Trying to make pleasant small talk with the campground store staff such as, “How are you?”, resulted in a, “Do you really wanna know?”, answer. Simply uncalled for. Further, the park rangers at check in were slightly combative, rushed and rude. Arriving at the campsite was exciting for us as this was the first time I camped in Shenandoah. I was really looking forward to the hikes and scenery and just wished we were more welcomed. Next time, we will check out a different campground, but this experience will not stop me from visiting Shenandoah again.

Wonderful place with great views. Bathrooms were clean and the sites well cared for. Will go back again and again.
Tons of campsites.we had no trouble finding a secluded spot with a good view. All spots were well maintained.
