Awesome place
Great scenery, playground, beach for littles, and hiking trails! It's supposedly a good fishing spot as well.
This is an absolutely beautiful and peaceful park. There's a stocked trout lake for fishing. A "beach" for swimming and laying out. Playgrounds. Hiking trails. Benches and picnic tables for relaxing and picnics. Bathrooms on site. Plenty of parking. And plenty of space to walk around and enjoy nature. Took several minutes to get to from i64, but well worth it.
Awesome hiking trails! Never busy or a lot of people. A lake for swimming and a lake for fishing. The swimming lake has a beach area, bathrooms, picnic tables, etc. Lots of amenities. Lovely park.
Lovely green setting around a low-key swimming hole and a great short woods-hike spot. The view out over King Family Winery and rolling hills of the Piedmont was brief but beautiful from the Fire Trail.
